Grand Banks 42 Europa. This is a beautifully kept example of these classic trawler yachts. She has been fastidiously maintained throughout her lifetime, and arguably the best example available. Her specification is of the highest order, and she would make an excellent long-term liveaboard, or holiday home by the sea.

Additional Information

This is a stunning example of the model having been meticulously maintained and in the ownership since new. Every extra to make cruising relaxing and enjoyable.

GRP hull deck and superstructure
Teak laid side decks, cockpit and flybridge

The larger engine option is definitely the most sought after as it gives you that extra bit of power if you need to push on a bit and also means your engines are not working so hard when cruising at slower speeds over longer distances.

Webasto Airtop 5000 diesel cabin heating with vents throughout including the heads compartment

with square mattress giving ease of access from each side. Beautifully finished storage cabinets and drawers complimented by in-set stainless steel lighting. Individual reading lights over bed. There is en suite access to the heads compartment.

The guest cabin is situated to port and consists of a large double bed. The standard layout on 42 Europa is to have two bunk beds but at the owners request this was changed to a double, which is far more inviting for your guests to stay.

The heads are located to starboard and has a separate full height shower compartment. Again the finish and attention to detail is superb. Access from master cabin is ensuite. There is a separate door for easy access opposite the second cabin.

The saloon is really what this boat is all about. It is extremely welcoming and beautifully laid out for spending longer periods of time onboard.
The upholstery is cream with ‘L' shaped seating to port and two individual arm chairs to starboard. Between the two armchairs is a teak storage unit. All windows are fitted with Oceanair blinds.
The saloon table opens up and can be raised or lowered by foot pedal.
Wooden parque flooring throughout the boat. This is complimented in the saloon by a beige carpet. The original blue Grand Banks carpet, which displays the Grand Banks logo, is stored off the boat and kept in immaculate condition. The carpet is easily removed for cleaning.
All windows have easy open/close sliding Oceanair blinds complimented with cream pleated curtains. There is also a full length Oceanair blind for the aft cabin doors giving complete privacy.
For occasional sleeping the 'L' shaped seating area can convert to a double bed.

NEFF stainless steel electric oven and grill – piping for gas in place but not in use
Four electric hobs
Sharp convection microwave oven
Front opening fridge with small freezer unit
Top loading freezer cabinet ready for easy conversion

The Grand Banks is designed to go ‘to sea’ and because of this there is a very useful teak grab rail, which runs the length of the saloon ceiling.
