General Description

This catamaran built by Bongers is one of Chris White's most popular designs. It is a ground breaking, trend setting design, with a forward helm station. This design allows an accurate and thrilling sailing experience.

Chris White Designs Catamarans are among the most sought after catmarans. They are rare, fast and striking in apperance. Chris White Design Catamarans feature innovative design, such as forward helm station and easy to handle sailing controls.

This example will be noticed in any anchorage and will sail circles around most catamarans. The easy to operate, daggerboard design is perfect for very fast upwind performance when lowered and shallow draft for getting the best pick for anchorage.

Windsong is in Florida for a very short time and will soon be heading to New Jersey for the summer.

Walk Through

The Chris White Designs Atlantic 42 is a unique but comfortable layout.

Climbing from the port Sugar Scoop is easy and safe. To the right is a "cat walk" to go between the two hulls.

As we walk forward on the spacious port hull, we notice the cabin top solar panels and the deck mounted flexable solar panels in front of us as we walk past the port dagger board.

Forward, we see the very generous forward trampoline.

To access the cockpit, we simply step own over the cockpit seeting and find the helm, sailing controls and instruments.

Looking aft, we can walk through the secure cabin door into the main saloon. Looking aft we see the dinning table and comfortable seeting.

To starboard is the inside helm station with all the controls and nav instruments.

To port is a desk top and office.

Going into the starboard hull, we find the generous galley and storage. The stainless steel sink is in front of us and the Force 10 oven and stove top is to aft.

Going forward we pass the starboard queen berth and continue into the large head. Forward of that is a large storage that has a clever bike rack arrangement.

Entering the port hull, we see aft into a very large shower. Going forward we, to the right is a bench and storage to the left.

Forward of there is another queen berth with more storage. Going forward again is another large head and more storage forward of that.
